In this collection I feature some exquisite minimalistic works that are as beautiful as ink drawings by accomplished Japanese Sumi-e ink artists.
These works were photographed and processed in tribute to my mother, a Professor of Japanese Floral Art and my father, an accomplished Black and White photographer.
All photographs in this collection are authentic reflections of my artistic vision of the African landscapes and Nature elements.
My artistic process is to first free the subject from its boundaries by over-exposing the edges of the frame so that the final works can blend seamlessly into my client's spaces.
Then I carefully use light to feature only the subject in the original photograph by hand. For this I use the time-honoured dark room process of burning select areas of the original photograph in to accentuate the beautiful elements of the subject to form the final artwork.
