Sustainability Policy
We are an eco-conscious Gallery
Our business policy is aimed at providing, as far as possible, goods that are sourced sustainably or meant to be reused or recycled wherever possible, so as to minimise their impact on the environment.
Our business manager, David Dooley is a registered Conservation League Donor for Birdlife South Africa
Policy Statement
Through our work, we will strive to make people more aware of the importance of our interaction with the environment, our natural world, the conspicuous, the beautiful and the not so.
Our artists respect the environment so whilst working in the field, Ithey take nothing but photographs and leave nothing but footprints
Shipping of Prints
Rolled prints are only transported in cardboard cartons that are manufactured from recycled paper and can again be recycled after use.
Framing
Our natural wood frames are made from a species of wood called Triplochiton scleroxylon, commonly known as Wawa, specially imported from plantations in West Africa conforming to sustainable resource harvesting.
Sustainable harvesting is our main priority and suppliers that carry an FSC certification that proves that their forests are sustainably harvested are prioritised.
To make sure that we support our planet, and still give you the best product
on the market, we support and are proud of our wood suppliers FSC certificate.
FSC™ Forest Stewardship Council™ - Controlled Wood
“The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) logo on a wood or wood based
product is your assurance that it is made with, or contains, wood
that comes from FSC certified forests or from post-consumer waste.”
